How To Install Windows XP on VM VirtualBox Machine and Connect From Host to Guest

In this Note, I will try to Install Windows XP on Vbox in Backtrack 5 R1.
First we open the VBox in Backtrack 5 R1.















Then, we choose on Toolsbar : New. Then We Click Next Button.
Then type the Name of the virtual device which we made. In my device, i typed Windows. After that we click Next again.
Then we made size of the RAM Memory which we will use. I use 256MB.





Then we click Next again.












In this session we click next again and then next again until you see a menu to specify how much memory you want to use in your Windows virtual box like a picture in below.














In my virtual box, i use 8 GB Memory. Then click next again and then click Create and Create again.
Then we click start on Windows and then click next.
Choose a location of Windows which you want to install.
Then klik start and finally you will see to the installation Windows. Last you just install the windows like you install Windows usually.



























Now, we Connect the host to guest where Backtrack 5 r1 will be a host and Windows XP will be a guest.
In Virtual Box, we click menu File and then choose Preferences.
And Then choose Network on the Menu.Click Host-Only network and then click Ok.

















Next, Start Windows on VM Virtal Box, and choose and click on Menu Devices -> Network Adapters
Choose Menu networks again then in Menu Toolsbar1 on column Attached To, choose Host-Only Adapters and in column Name, choose vboxnet0 then Click OK.














Now, we check the IP on Windows VW VirtualBox(Guest) and IP on Backtrack(Host).
IP address on my Windows XP is 192.168.56.101 and IP address on my Backtrack is 192.168.56.1.
Now i try to Connect from Backtrack(Host) to Windows(Guest).
and the result is...

64 bytes from 192.168.56.101: icmp_seq=9 ttl=128 time=0.576 ms

Now i try to Connect from Windows(Guest) to Backtrack(Host).
